The 2nd Labour Law & Compliance Summit
“Celebrating 30 Years of the Constitution: Advancing Labour Law Reform, Workplace Justice, and Institutional Accountability in South Africa”

A Constitutional Milestone: Celebrating Three Decades of Constitutionalism and Labour Law Reform
The 2nd Annual Labour Law and Compliance Summit 2026 marks a historic occasion — the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996. This Summit serves as a premier national forum for engaging with the intersection of constitutional principles, labour law evolution, and the challenges of modern workplace regulation.
This year’s theme honours three decades of constitutional democracy, and more specifically, the legacy of labour law development rooted in dignity, equality, freedom, access to justice, and fair labour practices. The Constitution’s influence across statutes such as the Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and others has laid the legal foundation for workplace reform, compliance, and justice.
